NADINE “MEME” LE CRONE, 79

Nadine “Meme” LeCrone, 79, of Fremont, died April 28, 2001 at Nye Pointe in Fremont.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. on May 3 in the Kennard Cemetery, with the Rev. Scott Ross of the Jaynes Street Community Church of God officiating.

Nadine LeCrone was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Dexar, Kan., to Charles and Lenna (Martin) Morgan. She grew up in Arkansas City, Kan., later attending high school in Pampa, Texas.

On April 8, 1939, she married Leslie C. LeCrone in Pampa. The couple then moved to a farm near Kennard. They also lived in Fremont, Omaha, and Arizona, returning to Fremont in 1983.

Mrs. LeCrone had worked as a waitress in Fremont, and also worked for the Blevins Popcorn Co. in North Bend, and Campbell Soup Co. in Omaha.

She is survived by five sons and their spouses, Chuck and Barb LeCrone, Robert and Joyce LeCrone, and Gene LeCrone, all of Fremont; Michael and Soaky LeCrone of Tucson, Ariz., and Jerry and Bernie LeCrone of Rochester, Minn.; 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a sister, Faye Werneke of Arkansas City, Kan., and a step-brother, Hugh Gillespie of Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie and by two brothers and a sister.

Memorials are suggested to Jaynes Street Community Church of God.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
