Arthur Kuss Is Buried At Winslow

Funeral services were Monday, April 20, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Winslow, for Arthur G. Kuss who died April 16, 1981, in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County at the age of 79.

Arthur G. Kuss was born September 1, 1901, in Washington County. He married Hilda Geisler on February 16, 1928, in Winslow. He farmed in the Winslow area until 1953. From 1953 until 1966, he was employed with the Winslow Co-Op.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Layman’s League. He was also a charter member of the Winslow Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda; one son, Merlin Kuss, Fremont; and two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Lorraine) Moseman, Winslow; and Mrs. Larry (Diane) Rinas, Arlington. Ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Alfred (Lottie) Geisler, Winslow, also survive him.

ARTHUR GUSTAVE KUSS

MR. ARTHUR G. KUSS, son of Henry and Louise (Panning) Kuss, born in Washington Co., Nebraska on September 1, 1901, was transferred to the Church Triumphant on April 16, 1981 at the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 15 days.

He was received into God’s Kingdom of Grace through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on September 23, 1901 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hooper, Ne. He was baptized by the Rev. J. G. Land. He was confirmed on April 16, 1916 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Winslow, Ne. by the Rev. J. H. Gerdes. His confirmation verse was 2 Tim. 2:8. After his confirmation he was a member of St. Paul’s, Winslow and later transferred to Immanuel, Hooper.

On February 16, 1928 he was married to Hilda nee Geisler at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Winslow. He lived in the Winslow area most of his life. He farmed for a number of years. When he quit farming, he was employed by the CO-OP at Winslow. He retired from this work in 1966.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Herbert, Walter, Fred, Howard, and Paul. Those who mourn his death include 2 daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Lorraine) Moseman of Winslow and Mrs. Larry (Diane) Rinas of Arlington, one son, Merlin of Fremont, 10 grand-children, and 6 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Alfred (Lottie) Geisler of Winslow.

May God in His grace comfort those who mourn through faith in Jesus Christ, who is the Resurrection and the Life!!!
