Hilda M. Kuss, 88

Services for Hilda M. Kuss, 88 of Fremont and formerly of the Hooper/Winslow area, who died October 1, 1995 at the Hooper Care Center were Wednesday, October 4 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Hooper. Rev. Rodney Meske officiated. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Hilda M. Kuss was born February 16, 1907 on the family farm to Albert and Emma Krohn Geisler. She also grew up on the family farm.

She married Arthur G. Kuss at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Winslow on February 16, 1928. After their marriage they farmed near Winslow, then near Cedar Bluffs for three years and then returned to the farm near Winslow. In 1940, they moved into Winslow. She moved to Fremont in 1986 and lived in the Stanton Tower.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Hooper and its Ladies Aide.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in April, 1981 and two brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Lorraine (Mrs. Clarence) Moseman of Fremont and Diane (Mrs. Larry) Rinas of Arlington; a son and his wife, Merlin and Shirley Kuss of Fremont; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to her church or the Hooper Care Center.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
