Sandy was born November 1st, 1947, in Mondamin, Iowa, to Hershal and Blendina Rounds. Sandy graduated from West Harrison High school in 1967.

Sandy and her husband Chuck Ives moved to Blair when they opened the Blair Twin Theater in 1981. In 1998 they sold the theater and retired to Lake Havasu, Arizona, where they lived until Chuck's death in 2008. Sandy returned to live in Blair in 2010 until her passing.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ives, and her brother, Hershal Rounds. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Michael and Shawna Ives of Canyon, Texas, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; her daughter and son-in-law Cyndi and Kurtis Kammerer of Omaha, and 2 grandchildren; and her daughter Christina Ives of Mohave Valley, Arizona, and 2 grandchildren.
