EDITH E. LEE, 78
Edith Lee was born on October 27, 1908 at Macedonia, Iowa to Elmer and Alta (Barker) Frain. The family moved to Nebraska in 1911 and she attended the Blair Schools, graduating in 1927.
She then attended Boyle’s Business College, and on March 12, 1932, was united in marriage to Lyle J. Lee here at her parents home in Blair.
She was a member of the First Christian Church at Blair, though they lived at Woodstock, Illinois a number of years and at Grand Island a few years.
They returned to Blair and her home church about 1976.
Her husband died in June, 1979.
She has been living in California since 1982 and has been in the hospital in Stockton, California for the past year.
Edith died Sunday night, September 13, 1987.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister – Gladys Follen and one brother, George Frain.
She is survived by two brothers and two sisters: Carl Frain of Sepulveda, California, Garold Frain of Lodi, California, Mrs. Raymond (Elma) Kuhr of Blair, and Alta Marsh of Blair; and by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 18, 1987 at First Christian Church in Blair.
Pastor Owen Wilmot will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
