Ronald L. Sullivan, 69

Ronald L. Sullivan, 69, of Arlington, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Arlington Community Church, with the Rev. Lynn Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery. Military honors at the cemetery will be conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of V.F.W. Post No. 854 and American Legion Post No. 20.

Visitation began Monday evening, and will also be held at the church on Tuesday, one hour prior to services.

Ronald L. Sullivan was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Huntington, W. V. to Lyle and Anna (Kandt) Sullivan.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduating from high school in Huntington Park, Calif. He served in Korea and in Pearl Harbor, HI, during the Korean War. After his discharge, he lived in Riverside, Calif., and drove trucks for Signal Trucking Co., Allied Van Lines, and Chevron Oil Company. He retired in 1995, and moved to Arlington in 1997.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Patti Sullivan of Arlington, a son, Joe Sullivan of San Francisco, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Frank Ammerman of Paxton River, Md., and Becky and Shawn Smithson of Yorba Linda, Calif., eight grandchildren, and a sister, Kathleen Figueroa of Hemet, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Brian Sullivan, and a sister.

Memorials are suggested to the Arlington Community Church or Arlington Community Foundation.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
