Samuel H. Austin, 77 passed away on Sunday, Nov. 13, 1988 at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital. He died of a heart attack.

Sam was born on Feb. 12, 1911 at Potwin, Ka. to William and Ella (Clifford) Austin.

Samuel retired from the Blair Police Department in February of 1976 and for a time managed The Blair Apartments.

Mr. Austin was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Samuel is survived by his wife, Sue; two daughters, Sami Allen and Candy Coleman; six grandchildren; and by two brothers, Bob of Omaha and Cliff of Wichita, Ka.

Services will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m.

The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made at the Nebraska Children’s Home.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Campbell Funeral Home of Blair.
