Louis B. Sully, 76

Louis B. Sully, 76, of Fort Calhoun, died Feb. 13, 2005.

A wake service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 at St. Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Louis Benedict Sully was born May 31, 1928 to Joseph and Frances Sully in Blair. On July 26, 1958, he married Mary B. Spies in Emmetsburg, Iowa.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus; DeSoto Township Board; First Friday Club; American Legion of Blair; VFW of Fort Calhoun; RCIA; Church EME and Lector; and Omaha Area Board of Realtors.

He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Tom and Deb Sully of New Brighton, Minn.; Tim and Wendy Sully of Omaha; Louis and Sheila Sully of Omaha; daughters and sons-in-law: Mary and Ed Lugne of Glendale, Ariz.; Patty and Mark Wilderman of Omaha; Celeste Sully of Omaha; Anna and Paul Sparwasser of Charleston, South Carolina; and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Jeannette (Dorner) Sully and brothers Joseph, William Patrick and Leo Sully.

Memorials are suggested to the Siena/Francis House, VNA Hospice and Sinsinowa Sisters in lieu of flowers.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
