Well Known Citizen Passes

Emmet Bolt, well known carpenter and contractor, died at his home in Blair at 8:30 o’clock Tuesday morning as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Deceased was born in Virginia, March 18, 1866 where he was reared to manhood and where on April 27, 1887 he was united in marriage to Mary J. Rosenbaum.

To Mr. and Mrs. Bolt nine children were born all of whom are living: Guy G., of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Carl A. of Schuyler; Dr. W.J., of Tekamah; Mrs. L. R. Pilcher, of Albion; Mrs. Chris Jensen, Blair; Mrs. D. C. Gill of Tekamah; Mrs. Frank Wilson, Blair, and Ruth and Helen are at home. Those with four brothers, John of Blair and D. W. and E.A, and Henry of Fort Wayne, Indiana and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Burns of Buffalo, New York grieve deeply his death.

Mr. Bolt has always taken great interest in civic affairs and has served on the city council, has been on the police force and for thirteen years had charge of the manual training in the Blair schools.

The funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Congregational Church with Rev. A. F. Newell officiating and interment is to be made in the Blair Cemetery beside his wife who passed on before him.
