JIM KUHR, FORMER BLAIRITE KILLED

James Kuhr, 51, former Blairite, of Scappoose, Oregon, was killed Saturday, while working at the Vancouver, Washington shipyards, according to word received by relatives here. His brother, Martin, proprietor of the Blair Feed Mill, left for Scappoose at once.

Mr. Kuhr had been employed in the Washington yards several months. He moved from Blair to Oregon in 1935.

He and his brother, Chris, now of Blair, once worked with construction companies in the south, later coming to Blair. The accident victim was employed here in 1937 by the Beaty Contracting company.

Surviving Mr. Kuhr are three brothers, Martin and Chris of Blair and Julius of Chicago; four sisters, Mrs. Victor Rasmussen of Blair and three living in Denmark; and his father, also in Denmark.

KILLED IN SHIPYARD ACCIDENT

James Kuhr of Scappoose, Oregon, formerly of Blair, was the victim of a shipyard accident at Vancouver, Washington, Saturday afternoon. Survivors include two brothers, Martin and Chris Kuhr, both of Blair.

Martin Kuhr left for Oregon early this week. He will bring the body of his brother back to Blair for burial the latter part of this week.
