Nicholas K. Olson, 16 of Blair died Thursday, July 10, 1997, in a two-vehicle accident about two miles southeast of Blair.

Services were Monday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. R. Joe Marek officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Olson was born Dec. 2, 1980 in Ames, Iowa to Mark and Deana (Fauscett) Olson. He would have been a junior at Blair High School this fall. He was active in the BHS Drama Club and participated in both school and community plays. He was also in the Odyssey of the Minds program and Show Choir.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Youth Group and Student Venture. He was also a member of the Mistic Groove Band.

Survivors are his father, Mark of Blair; his mother and step-father, Deana and Jeff Taylor of Norfolk; two sisters, Melissa and Emma of Norfolk; grandparents, Marvin and Helga Olson of Ankeny, Iowa and Everett and Jerrie Vaughan of Des Moines, Iowa; a great-grandfather, Marvin C. Olson of Los Fresnos, Tex. and a great-grandmother, Beatrice Wingo of Rogersville, Mo.

Memorials may be directed to the Blair High School Music and Drama Club, First Lutheran Church Youth Group or Student Venture.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
