James J. Besta, Jr., 56

Services were Wednesday, August 21 at St John's Catholic Church in Valley for James J. Besta, Jr., 56 of Valley who died August 18, 1991 at his home. Rev. Richard Swolek officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Elkhorn.

James J. Besta Jr. was born May 12, 1935 in Omaha. He served with the United States Navy from January, 1956 to January, 1957.

He attended St John's Catholic Church in Valley.

He married Lola Melton. She survives.

He is also survived by two sons, James III of Omaha and Terry of Valley; three daughters, Cindy Nath of Arlington, Debbie Besta and Paula Best both of Valley; two brothers, Ray and Bob, both of Omaha; a sister, Betty Castor of Omaha and five grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the Valley Youth Organization.

Reichmuth Funeral Home in Valley was in charge of arrangements.
