Mrs. Mary E. Betts Buried Here Saturday

Mrs. Mary E. Betts, wife of the late Henry Betts, of Blair, died at Memorial Community Hospital Wednesday, July 26th.

She had made her home in recent years at, Missouri Valley, Iowa. Mrs. Betts was the mother of a large family consisting of four sons and four daughters. In addition, there are 38 grandchildren, 88, great grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren.

The sons who survive are William Betts and Elmer Betts, both of Blair; Andrew Betts and Floyd Betts, both of Council Bluffs, Iowa. The daughters are Mrs. Tom (Dora) Smith, of Blair; Mrs. Earl (Clara) McMurtrie of Fremont, California; Mrs. Emmett (Marie) Steffan, of Missouri Valley; and Mrs. Albert (Edie) of Council Bluffs.

There are four brothers and sisters. They are Mrs. Edith Jones, of Tekamah; Ed Barker of Salem, Oregon; Orville Barker, of Grand Island; and Floyd Barker, of Wagner, South Dakota.
