Services for Arthur L. Oltjenbruns, 83, Tekamah, who died February 15, 1996 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair were Saturday, February 17 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah. Rev. Brian D. Maas officiated. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Arthur L. Oltjenbruns was born May 29, 1912 in Plainview, Nebraska to Richard and Marie Nissen Oltjenbruns. He was confirmed at Eden Valley Church in Plainview.

He married Violet Nelson December 12, 1933 at the Lutheran Parsonage in Norfolk, Nebraska.

He operated a filling station in Wausa, Nebraska and was employed by Firestone Tire Company in Omaha. From 1948 until 1970, they farmed in Lyons, Nebraska. In 1970, they moved to Tekamah where he was employed by the school. He retired in 1977.

He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Lion's Club in Tekamah.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alfred and Henry and a sister, Dorothy.

He is survived by his wife, Violet of Tekamah; daughters and sons-in-law, LaDona and Bob Warren of Blair and Nadine and Glenn Anderson of Laurel, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Gregg Anderson of Omaha, Mark Anderson of Randolph, Nebraska; Julie Anderson of Lincoln; Rob Warren of Waterloo, Nebraska and Molly Dahlgren of Omaha and ten great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Rob Warren, Dan Dahlgren, Lee Ott, Gregg Anderson, Mark Anderson and Norm Kassmeier.

Memorials maybe directed to the family.

Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
