Services for Earl N. Surber, 81, of Council Bluffs, Iowa who died April 27, 1995 at Indian Hills Care Center in Council Bluffs were Saturday, April 29 at Meyer Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Earl N. Surber was born May 15, 1913 in Ida Grove, Iowa. He lived in Omaha from 1941 until moving to Council Bluffs in 1960. He worked for Skelgas Gas and Northern Propane, both of Omaha and retired in 1978.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Council Bluffs, Fraternal Order of Eagles in South Omaha, Senior Center Square Dance Blue, National Rifle Association and the Wahoo-Ashland-Springfield-Papillion-Bellevue Trapshooting Organization.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie; three daughters, Marlene Grosvenor of Council Bluffs, Janis Tibke of Arlington and Wanda Tibke of Omaha; two sons, Jon and James, both of Council Bluffs; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
