William Betts Died at Age 77

Services for 77 year old William Henry Betts will be held on Thursday, December 28th at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair. Mr. Betts died on Christmas Day, December 25th at his home at 1030 State Street, Blair.

Services will be at 10:30 at the Funeral Home with Rev. James Mejzgar officiating. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Betts is survived by his wife Goldie of Blair and three children. The children are: Mrs. Don (Betty) Goines of LaPorte, Texas; Clarence Betts of New Orleans, La. Ted Stubbs, Rockford, Illinois, and ten grandchildren.

Surviving brothers and sisters are: Mrs. Earl (Clara) McMurtrie, of California; Mrs. Emmett (Marie) Steffan, Missouri Valley, Iowa; Mrs. Albert (Avies) Edie, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Floyd Betts, Sioux City, Iowa.

Mr. Betts was born in Tekamah, Nebraska, October 10, 1901. He was employed as a machinist for Rockford Clutch Company.

Pallbearers will be Vern Wolf, Larry Betts, H. Smith, Bill Bryant, M. Berggren, and Arnold Frah.
