HERMAN GIRL KILLED WHEN HIT BY LOOSE TRAILER

A seventeen-year old Herman, Nebraska girl, Toni Elaine Aylsworth, was dead on arrival at the Blair Hospital following an accident that took place approximately one mile south of Tekamah on Highway 73. The accident took place on Friday afternoon, June 9th when the car Miss Aylsworth was driving was struck almost head-on by the trailer of a rock truck. The trailer reportedly broke loose and crossed over into the path of the Aylsworth auto.

Toni Aylsworth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Aylsworth of Route 2, Herman. Mr. Aylsworth is the Assistant Manager of the Safeway Store in Blair.

Toni Aylsworth was born at Council Bluffs, Iowa and would have been 18 on the next day after her death, June 10th. Services were held at the Herman Legion Hall on Monday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Arthur Docken officiated with Mrs. Grace Husk the organist. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Funeral Home.

Toni Aylsworth was a student at the Tekamah-Herman High School and graduated with the 1978 class last month. Toni was the Captain of the Tekamah-Herman High School Drill Team.

Miss Aylsworth is survived by her parents of herman, a sister Debra Aylsworth of Herman and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Woolman of Oakland, Iowa.

Pallbearers were Mark Storz, Chuck Beck, Kevin Hansen, Allen Method, Bobby Frye and Jim Beck.
