DARRELL VERNON SMITH

Darrell Vernon Smith died June 2, 1988 in Marino Valley, California of cancer.

Darrell was born in Fort Calhoun on January 30, 1929 to Lester and Una Smith, both who preceded him in death. Darrell attended Ft. Calhoun grade and high school, graduating in 1947.

Darrell served in the Air Force for four years. He was married to Donna Hawkins in 1952 and had two sons.

Darrell was cremated and his ashes was scattered over the Pacific Ocean, at his request.

His sons will place a marker honoring him in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery next to his parents.

He is survived by his two sons, Michael Douglas and Daniel Vernon of Marino Valley, California; and two granddaughters, Shonna Lynn and Stacy Anne of Chino, California and one brother Gene of Ft. Calhoun.
