"BUSTER" HADAN'S RITES WEDNESDAY

Funeral services were held November 10th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington for August “Buster” Hadan, 61, former operator of Sunset Speedway.

Hadan died Sunday in an Omaha hospital after an extended illness. He and his brother, Albert, 3723 North 108th Street, operated the track near 114th and State Streets until 1968. The two opened Sunset in 1957.

Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery. In addition to his brother, Hadan’s survivors include his mother, Mrs. Eva Stirewalt of Blair; widow, Margretha; a son, Larry and a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Darleen) Tonack, all of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Abby Hoerath, Lincoln, and Mrs. Helen Apel, Omaha, and six grandchildren.
