Harvey F. Hagerbaumer, 92, of Fremont, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services were Thursday, Nov. 2, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Harvey Frederick Hagerbaumer was born April 4, 1914 on a farm east of Hooper to Henry E. and Maria (Geisler) Hagerbaumer. He was baptized April 5, 1914, and confirmed April 1, 1928, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He attended Hartung District 51 School, and Immanuel Lutheran School.

On Sept. 16, 1942, he married Phyllis Mae Rewinkel at St. John’s Lutheran parsonage, south of Lyons. The couple farmed and lived on the Hagerbaumer home place for 49 years. In 1992, they moved to Fremont.

He was a lifetime member on Immanuel Lutheran Church; was a member of the Lutheran Laymen’s League, served as a trustee for six years; was the secretary of the church’s building committee; and served on other church committees.

His favorite pastimes were listening to music, playing cards, and visiting.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of Fremont; two daughters and a son-in-law, Carole Donley of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Lori and Donald Hunzeker of Minden; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and a sister, Leona Fuchs of Arlington.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Paula Hagerbaumer and Elsie Gnuse, and two brothers, Arthur and Obert Hagerbaumer.
