PETER HAGGE IS CALLED

Peter Hagge died last Wednesday at the farm home, northwest of Blair, from a virulent case of pneumonia, after a brief illness. Deceased was a well-known resident on the farm where he died for many years and commanded the respect and esteem of all who were favored with his acquaintance.

We have unable to procure any authentic data upon which to base an obituary notice. The funeral will be held next Saturday, tomorrow, the day upon which he would have reached his 59th year had he lived.

PETTER HAGGE IS GONE

Peter Hagge, a well-known and highly respected citizen of this county died at his home about seven and one-half miles northwest of this city on last Thursday, March 23, 1916.

Mr. Hagge was born in Husby, Schleswig Holstein, Germany, March 25, 1859 and lived there until he came to America in 1884, having served in the German army from 1879 to 1882.

He came to Washington county directly from Germany and was married to Anna Margare Von Lanken the following year, 1885.

Four children came to bless this union; Catherine, Emma, Peter and Matilda. Emma, better known as Mrs. Fred Wulf, died in 1913 and Matilda in 1897 as the result of a burn.

The direct cause of the death was an attack of pneumonia which he was unable to withstand.

Interment was made in the Blair cemetery on his fifty seventh birthday.

He leaves to mourn him a wife and two children and other relatives who have the sincere sympathy of many friends.
