Joseph Orsi Sr., 74, of Omaha, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008.

Visitation begins at 6 p.m. with a vigil service planned for 7 p.m.,Friday, May 16, at Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Omaha. Interment will be in the Resurrection Cemetery, with full military honors by Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 8334.

Joseph "Joe" Orsi was a member of IBEW Local 22 for 40 years. He owned and operated his own electrical company, Gemini Electric, in Blair.

He served aboard the USS Lexington during the Korean War, and was a member of American Legion Post 154 of Blair.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Orsi; children and spouses: Joe Orsi Jr., Theresa and Lowell Petersen, Richard Orsi, Steven and Cindy Orsi; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, Syl Orsi; sisters and brother-in-law; Arminda Hurley, Connie and Bob Crouch; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Nancy Orsi.

Memorials are suggested to the V.N.A. Hospice.
