DR. GEESAMAN, CALHOUN DOCTOR, DIES SUDDENLY

HAS SERVED CALHOUN AND VICINITY SINCE 1914. HIGHLY ESTEEMED

Dr. E. S. B. Geesaman, who has made himself a part of Calhoun society by his faithful services as a physician, died suddenly July 16th. He had been caring for an injured patient and just as he had finished dressing the wound, he died.

He was born in Minneapolis on December 23, 1887 and came to Calhoun in 1914. Here he met and married Miss Clara Rohwer on August 29, 1917. To them three sons were born: Sgt. Edgar, who is serving his country in Germany; Richard, who is taking a medical course in Omaha; and Donald, who is at home. These three sons with the wife mourn deeply their loss.

Dr. Geesaman was a physician of rare ability and had the confidence of all with whom he came in contact. To say that his place will be easy to fill, hardly expresses the situation. His faithfulness to his trust as a physician has endeared him to his community. No night was too stormy nor road too dreary to stop him answering a call, if he were needed and his acts of fidelity and kindness will not be forgotten.

In a civic way, he found time to act on the school board for a long term of years and in his administration of his office he always acted in good faith, striving to give his best judgment to the question involved.

Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Presbyterian Church in Calhoun and interment will be made in the Calhoun Cemetery.

Thus closes a career of usefulness and a reputation for right living that one might well emulate.
