Boettcher, Alice May

Alice May Boettcher, age 67, of Fremont, NE passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2015 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Alice was born Dec. 26, 1947 in Arlington, NE to Frank and Ethel (Wolfe) Peterson. She moved with her family to Fremont as a child and lived here until 1972, when she moved to Falls City, NE for a year. She returned to Fremont for 10 years, then to Omaha for 1 year, before settling back in Fremont in 1984. Alice married Robert O. Boettcher on Aug. 7, 1965 in Fremont. She worked as a secretary for Firestone for 2 years, Fremont Area Medical Center Pharmacy for 16 years and was a cub scout and boy scout leader for 25 years.

Alice was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Boettcher; sons; Robert Lee Boettcher & wife Lisa and James Boettcher & wife Jona; daughter, Jennifer Bell & husband David all of Fremont; sisters, Doretta Watson of Deepwater, MO and Frances Prendergast & husband Gary of Peculiar, MO; sisters-in-law, Lexey Lane Huls of Fremont and Leigh Ann Frame of Lincoln, NE; and 8 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law, Heinz and Madalyn Boettcher.

Funeral service will be 10 AM, Friday, October, 16, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. The Rev. Michael McGregor will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday, with family receiving friends from 6-8 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue on Friday 1 hour prior to service at church. Burial at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. Alice prefers everyone to dress casual.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society Relay of Life.
