Died at South Blair, Friday of last week, Esther, wife of Samuel Ayers, aged 53 years, after an illness of several months. She leaves a husband and a family of four sons to mourn the loss of a good mother. Also one brother was at the funeral who resides in Iowa.

Deceased was born in Jo Davis county, Illinois, was married in So Dakota in 1867 and the family came to Blair nearly ten years ago. She joined the Christian church 20 years ago. The burial was last Sunday afternoon, Rev. J.W. Larkin conducting a short service at the residence, after which Rev. T.P. Brown officiated at the U.B. church to a large audience. Interment was in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Samuel Ayers, of South Blair, died of cancer last Friday morning. The funeral was held at the U.B. church yesterday and interment made in the Blair cemetery.
