NILA LEGENHAUSEN, 86

Funeral services for Nila Legenhausen, 86, of Blair, were held Monday, April 10, 2006, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery. Mrs. Legenhausen died Thursday, April 6, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Nila M. Legenhausen was born June 28, 1919 at Desoto to Dr. George and Belva (Wild) Stanley. She graduated from Blair High School and Iowa State.

She married Dr. Dale Legenhausen in Sioux Falls, S.D. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Gerogia where Mrs. Legenhausen taught school, then to Maryland and , in 1955, they moved to Blair, where she taught for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Blair.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Kathy Legenhausen of Omaha; sister-in-law, Blanche Stanley, also of Omaha; and nieces and a nephew, Margo, Mihalie, and Steve of Goleta, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Neil Stanley.

Services 1:30 pm Mon. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial Blair Cemetery. Visitation will begin 12 noon Sun., with family receiving friends from5:30 – 7 pm.
