Funeral services for Ruth Osburn, age 80, of Blair, who died at Memorial Community Hospital September 15, 1990, will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Ruth Elizabeth Cushman was born on January 8, 1910 in rural Herman (Spiker), Nebraska to Fred and Lois Ann Fletcher Cushman. She lived her enitre life in Washington County. She graduated from Blair High School. On July 29, 1928, she married Opil B. Osburn at Logan, Iowa. He preceded her in death 1967.

Ruth was chief operator for HunTel Telephone from 1944 until retiring in 1975. She had been a resident of Good Shepherd Home for the past two years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Opil; son, Dennis; and grandson, David.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Gayle Osburn, Omaha, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Arlene Osburn, Rogers, Arkansas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, June Pedersen, Herman, Nebraska; and one brother Fred Cushman of Cloverdale, California.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
