Robert A. Ostblom, 47, died Tuesday, February 14, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha from heart failure due to complications during surgery.

Robert A. Ostblom was born September 1, 1941, at Ottumwa, Iowa. He graduated from Rock County High School at Bassett, Nebraska in 1959. He lived at Omaha before moving to Arlington in 1971.

He was a maintenance mechanic for Kellogg's Company in Omaha for 29 years. He was a member of American Grain Millers Federation and the Elkhorn Valley Motorcycle Club.

He married Sandra Langer on September 2, 1961 at Ainsworth, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on January 16, 1983.

His father, Arthur Ostblom, also preceded him in death.

He is survived by sons, Michael of Omaha and Todd of Fremont; and a daughter, Mrs. Gerry (Michelle) Fox of Arlington. His mother, Geraldine Ostblom of Grand Island; a brother Jon Ostblom of Omaha; four grandchildren and a fiancee, Nancy M. Finch of Arlington also survive him.

Services were Saturday, February 18, at Arlington Community Church in Arlington. The Rev. Robert Saunders officiated. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.

Ruby House was organist.

Pallbearers were Earl York, Marvin Munsen, Tom Gridell, Don Nash, Monte Campbell and Tom Wehling. Honorary Pallbearers were Jeff Wilson, Tim Brennan and Bob Templeton.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
