Christina Louise Lohmeyer was born June 26, 1910 at Brooklyn, New York to Louis and Clara (Buchler) Lohmeyer. She was baptized in infancy at Grace Methodist Episcopal Church of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York; at the age of seven, she moved with her family to a farm near Uehling, Nebraska, and lived in that area until 1930. She was confirmed at Evangelical Lutheran Zions Church at Hooper, Nebraska and has remained active in the the Lutheran Church throughout her life. Louise was married to Maritn Osterloh on June 24, 1930. Soon after their marriage, they moved southeast of Sidney, Nebraska. They remained there until 1948 when they moved to a farm northwest of Kennard, Nebraska.

In 1951 they moved to Newman Grove, Nebraska. Martin and Louise retired in 1969 to 821 Walnut in Albion where she resided until her death.

Louise suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized in the Boone County Hospital and the St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha for three weeks. She returned home the Monday before her death. She died September 11, 1985 at the Booone County Hospital at the age of 75 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant son Kenneth, and two sisters Ella and May.

Her husband Martin survives her along with their two sons and daughter: Martin J. and Gladys Osterloh of Correctionville, Iowa, Charles and JoAnn of Casper, Wyoming, and Lorraine and Eugene Nelson of Newman Grove.

Also surviving are two sisters, Sophia Nelson of Oakland, Nebraska and Mrs. Fred (Gladys )Wangberg of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Louis Lohmeyer of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, and John Lohmeyer of West Point, Nebraska. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday Septmeber 13, 1985 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, Nebraska.The Rev. Don Wilken officiated and burial was in Hope Cemetery in Newman Grove.

Casket bearers were Rick Nelson, Randy Nelson, Dean Osterloh, Duane Osterloh, Jeff Osterloh, and James Osterloh.
