Published in The Enterprise, Oct. 25,1951 Buried in Prairie View Cemetery. STROKE TAKES J.P. CHRISTENSEN Jorgen P. Christensen, long time resident of this county but later of Fremont, died last Sunday, Oct. 21 at the home of his son, Harlan of Kennard, at the age of 72 years and 2 days. His death was the result of a stroke. Deceased was born in Denmark. He came to America in 1901 and was married to Miss Anna Johnson on March 15, 1911. They immediately started farming, north of Washington and continued until eight years ago when they retired and moved to Fremont. One son, Harlan now of Kennard, was born to them and he with the wife survive. Two grandchildren also survive as do four sisters and two brothers. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Fremont and funeral rites were held from that church at 1:30 p.m. and later at 2:30 p.m. from the Lutheran church in Kennard and interment under the supervision of the Lawson Funeral Home of Fremont and the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair was made in the Prairie View Cemetery north of Washington. #2 - The following obituary spells Mr. J.T.'s last name differently than the previous obituary (Christiansen vs. Christensen). Christiansen Dies at 70

Former County Resident Had Been Making His Home In Fremont

Funeral services were yesterday for Jorgen T. Christiansen, 70, who died Sunday while visiting his son, Harlan, at Kennard.

The Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair assisted the Lawson Funeral Home of Fremont in arrangements. Services were at First Lutheran Church in Fremont and Kennard Lutheran Church. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery.

A Washington Countian all but the past eight years of his life, Mr. Christiansen had been living in Fremont. Surviving are his wife, Anna, of Fremont, and son, Harlan, of Kennard. Grandsons surviving are Charles and Ronnie Christensen of Kennard.

Four sisters and two brothers also survive. Sisters are Petrea Christiansen of Junction City, Ore., Valborg Kahler of Los Angeles, Ella of San Francisco, and Martina Nielsen of Alamo, Tex. Brothers are Alfred of Los Angeles and Thorvald of Alamo, Tex.

A daughter, Mrs. Charles Christensen (Inez) and a son Rupert, preceded him in death.
