HOWARD HAIN DIED FRIDAY AFTER ILLNESS

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, at Bader Rozanek Funeral Home in Fremont for Howard E. Hain, 87, who died February 3, 1984, at Arbor Manor Nursing Home after a year long illness.

The Rev. Norman C. Pavey is officiating. Military graveside services are being conducted by the VFW Post No. 854 and the American Legion Post No. 20. Burial is in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Howard E. Hain was born in Blair August 20, 1896, to Charles and Mary Tyson Hain. He lived in the Blair area until 1936 when he moved to Fremont.

He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the United States Army. He was a member of World War I Barracks No. 493.

He was retired from Wells Commission Co.

He married Frances Graber May 29, 1952, in Fremont.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; a son, Darrell Hain of St. Louis, Missouri; a daughter, Mrs. Verlin (Winifred) Knudsen, Riverside, California; and two step-sons, Howard Graber of Wisner, Nebraska, and Harold (Buzz) Graber of Derby, Kansas. Nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Edith Hain of Blair, also survive him.

Pallbearers are Curtis Graber, Gary Graber, David Maas, Frank Musbach, Dale Becker and Clyde Bird.
