MRS. M.M. HALBERT DIED IN LINCOLN

Mrs. M. M. Halbert, mother of County Treasurer Clifford G. Halbert, died early Tuesday at Lincoln, Nebraska. She lived with her daughter there and died at her home.

Mr. and Mrs. Halbert lived in Blair for four years from 1921 to 1925, Mr. Halbert being a druggist. He operated the drug store which is now Lee’s Drugs in Blair. Prior to coming to Blair the family had lived at Council Bluffs, Iowa and Decatur, Nebraska. They lived at Imogene, Iowa during the time the sons and daughters were young.

Mrs. Halbert was 88 years of age and had been in good health until a few months ago.

She is survived by Clifford G. Halbert of Blair and Dale Halbert of Lincoln and William Halbert of Omaha. The daughters are Bernice Halbert of Lincoln and Hortense (Mrs. William Gordon) of Tecumseh, Nebraska.

Interment will be at Imogene, Iowa.

MOTHER OF BLAIRITE DIED IN LINCOLN

Funeral services for Mrs. Viola B. Halbert, 88 years of age, mother of Clifford Halbert, Washington County Treasurer, and former Blair resident, were held Thursday at the First Methodist Church in Lincoln with interment at Imogene, Iowa.

Mrs. Halbert was born August, 17, 1877 in Iowa and lived in that state for many years before moving to Nebraska. Her husband was a pharmacist in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Decatur and Blair before moving to Omaha. Mrs. Halbert has been making her home with a daughter in Lincoln the past few years.

Survivors include three sons, Clifford of Blair, C. Raymond and Louis of Omaha: two daughters, Miss Bernice Halbert of Lincoln and Mrs. William Gordon of Tecumseh, ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
