Roger R. Morris

Roger R. Morris, age 73, passed away December 2, 2015, at his residence in Fremont. Roger was born in Blair, Nebraska and raised in Elk City. He graduated high school in Huntington Beach, California, and then returned to Nebraska. Roger was a Vietnam veteran who served in the Navy and the Nebraska National Guard. He worked as a welder at Fruehauf Corporation for 23 years after which he worked for Valley Corporation in Valley, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Harold and Lela Morris and Grandparents; Burt and Clara Morris of Elk City.

Roger is survived by his wife of 49 years Mary I. Morris; Sons Burt, Blaine and Drew Morris; 2 Grandsons Gabe and Kaden Morris; 3 Granddaughters Ashton, Regan and Caitlin Morris; Sister Patricia and husband Merle Campbell of Bennington.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Wednesday December 9th 2015 at Dugan Funeral Chapel located at 751 North Lincoln Avenue.

A private inurnment will take place at Elk City Cemetery in the spring.
