Carla M. Salsbury, age 83, of Blair, died December 8, 2015 at Good Shephard Lutheran Home in Blair. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 11th at the Blair Cemetery.

Carla M. Salsbury was born on January 17, 1932, in Blair, Nebraska the daughter of W.L. and Doris (Utterbeck) Hindley. She attended the McCarthy School and then Blair High School where she graduated with the class of 1949. On January 17, 1952, she was united in marriage to Glen “Mike” Salsbury in Tekamah. The couple made their home in Blair.

She raised Arabian horses and was a 4-H leader in Washington County and served for several years on the Washington County Fair Board.

She is survived by her children: son Patrick Salsbury of Blair, daughters Sheila (Ted) Jeary of Blair, Betty (Audie) Taylor of Cozad and Bonnie (Terry) Lang of Herman; four grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glen R. “Mike” Salsbury, daughter Joyce Ellen Salsbury, her parents, brother Robert Hindley and sister Barbara Nohrenberg.

Memorials may be directed to an organization of the donor’s choice in Carla’s name.
