OPIL OSBURN DIED AT HOME SUNDAY

Opil Osubrn, 65-year-old Blair man, died at his home at 1742 Colfax street Sunday. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

He was born November 25, 1901 at Herman and for many years he lived in that area as a farmer. Eleven years ago he moved to Blair where he became an employee of the Blair Telephone Co. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and by two sons, Larry of New Liskard, Canada and Dennis, of Arlington. There are six grandchildren.

Also surviving are seven sisters. They are Bessie Grothe of Tekamah; Mrs. Ted Weber of Herman; Mrs. Roy Mengedoht of Femont; Mrs. Clarence Christiansen of Overton, Oregon; Mrs. Merida Ledbetter of Shelbyville, Tenn; and Mrs. Grace Newkirk of Blair.

Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, the Rev. Joel Kemmerer conducting the service. Burial was in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased. They were Fred Pederson, James Odle, Terry Odle, LeRoy Sheets, William Cowan and Donald Plummer.
