FLOYD LEONARD DIES IN COUNCIL BLUFFS AFTER SHORT ILLNESS

Ill only a few days with appendicitis, Floyd B. Leonard, 38, of Council Bluffs, former Washington countian, died Sunday afternoon at Mercy Hospital in that city.

A graduate of the Creighton university college of pharmacy, Mr. Leonard was manager of the Connolly Hawkeye drug store in Council Bluffs.

Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Ora Johnston, daughter of Ray Johnston of Blair; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Leonard of Kennard; two sisters, Mrs. James W. Pounds of Blair and Mrs. Robert Newell of Omaha; and a brother, Russell Leonard of Camp Grant, Illinois.

Funeral services were held at Council Bluffs yesterday morning, interment following in Blair cemetery.

Funeral services for Floyd B. Leonard of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Kennard and Blair, were held Wednesday morning, June 17, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Council Bluffs; Father Coughlin officiated. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery. Leonard died as the result of an appendectomy performed at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Leonard of Kennard, the deceased was born on January 23, 1904. On December 24, 1927 he was married to Ora E. Johnson. He was graduated from Creighton University in 1925, and since 1928 he had been employed in Council Bluffs as a druggist.

Survivors include the widow; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Newell of Omaha and Mrs. J. W. Pounds of Blair; and a brother, Russell Leonard of Camp Grant, Illinois.
