Mr. Thomas Leonard died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. Olson, Monday morning. Mr. Leonard was born in New York City June 3, 1845 and died Feb. 19, 1917, aged 70 years, 8 mos. and 16 days. For forty years he followed the occupation of railroading and helped lay out the towns of Kennard, Arlington and Fremont. The funeral services were conducted from the Baptist Church Wednesday by Rev. John Poucher of Omaha, under the auspices of the Landmark Masonic Lodge, of which the deceased was a member. Interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Thomas Leonard Sr., a pioneer resident here, passed away about seven o’clock Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm Olson, living west of town. The deceased was past 72 years of age. Funeral services will be held in Blair with burial in the Blair Cemetery.
