Seymour, Maria Ludacka It is with great despair that we announce the passing of our beloved Maria. Maria Agnes Ludacka Seymour, age 59, passed away from cancer complications while surrounded by her family and friends on December 21st. Maria was born in Marietta, Georgia on January 19th, 1956, to Rose Boland Ludacka, native of Trinidad, West Indies, and Robert Ludacka of Omaha. She was one of 7 children. Maria graduated from College of Saint Mary, with a nursing degree in 1985. She was a passionate and caring nurse in Omaha as well as New York, where she lived for a few years before moving back to Omaha to be with family. Family was always most important to Maria. Always the first to help a family member in need, Maria was known for her independent and tenacious spirit. She loved to have a good time, and her sense of humor brightened the lives of those around her. Maria is survived by her children, Christopher (Jennifer) Riggs of Papillion and Rachel (Jay) Butterbaugh of Fort Calhoun; 7 grandchildren; siblings Imelda, Paulina, Andre, and Angelo, many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rose; father, Robert; and brothers, Paul and Peter. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held Tuesday, December 29th at 11:15am at St. Cecilia's Cathedral. Reception to follow. Private Interment will occur at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
