Larry William Mutum Sr. was born to John E. and Margaret (Llewellyn) Mutum on May 26, 1937, on a farm outside of Walnut, Iowa.

He entered into rest January 2, 2016, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska.

At the age of one Larry's family moved to Omaha, where he later attended Omaha Public Schools.

When Larry turned 14 he started working for his father. He became a heavy equipment operator and helped to build up Omaha. On January 23, 1990, he married Linda Norton and the couple made their home in Blair.

Larry enjoyed time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his dogs. Larry loved to go to coffee, watch Nascar and to mow the yard on his riding lawn mower.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lee Mutum; sister, Alice Brown; and sons, Larry Jr. and Jerry Mutum.

Larry is survived by his wife Linda; son, Dan Mutum and family of Lyons, NE; sisters, Mary Collins of Kansas and Shirley (Ron) Garrett of Omaha, NE; brother-in-law, Dan Norton of Lyons, NE; 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL VISITATION: Thursday, January 7, 2016, 5-7 p.m., with family receiving friends and a PRAYER SERVICE at 7 p.m., all at Pelan Funeral Services in Oakland with Rev. Mark Eldal officiating.

HONORARY BEARERS: Dan Norton, Danny Norton, Paul Norton, Steve Norton, Ron Garrett, Dan Mutum, Brandon Mutum, Johnny Mutum.
