Goldie M. Iversen, 94

Died: December 31, 2015, Fort Calhoun, NE

Goldie M. Iversen was a life-long resident of Fort Calhoun, NE. She was born to Herman and Rose (Schroeder) Iversen on February 10, 1921. Because of the early deaths of her parents, she became a member of her Uncle William and Aunt Bertha Iversen’s household. She spent much of her young life living at their farm.

While attending high school in town, Goldie lived with her maternal grandparents during the week. After graduation, she continued to live on the farm with her Aunt Bertha and Cousin Chris Iversen. In 1958 Chris retired from farming and built a home in Fort Calhoun where they both resided. Goldie had many friends in the community and was known for her handiwork. In her later years she enjoyed telephone conversations with neighbors, friends and family.

Goldie is survived by many cousins and several close friends.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.

Interment: Fort Calhoun Cemetery
