Bonnie Owston

Bonnie F. Owston, 74, of Fremont passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at Fremont Health Medical Center.

Bonnie was born July 23, 1941, to Rudolph and Edna (Stork) Fuchs. She was a lifelong resident of the Fremont and Arlington area, having been raised on the farm seven miles north of Arlington. She lived in Fremont for most of her adult life. Bonnie and Richard were married on Aug. 3, 1991. They are active members at First United Methodist Church.

Bonnie was known to her family and friends as a creative and kind-hearted soul. She loved to decorate her house and garden and in days gone by, she loved to square dance. She was the family genealogist and was charmed by artifacts from the past. She played a very large role in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cherished her time with them.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Fuchs.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 24 years, Richard; daughters, Vicki (Ed) Uhler and Tracey (Robert) Schreck; siblings, Vernetta (Don) Dunlap, Doris (John) Ray, Larry (Marg) Fuchs and Jean (Michael) Ristow; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Erin, Kristin, Shannin, Meaghan, Sierra and Mason; and seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Lily, Hayden, Jacob, Preston, Caiden and Maliki.

The memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church.
