James A. Simpson, 71

James A. Simpson, 71, of Omaha, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in Omaha.

A memorial service was held at Bethany Funeral Home in Omaha on Sunday, Dec. 29. His cremains were buried at Westlawn Cemetery in Omaha.

James A. Simpson was born Feb. 15, 1931, in a house on West Colfax Street in Blair to Harvey and Martha Simpson. He attended Blair schools for 11 years before entering military service in 1952. He served in Korea.

For a number of years, he had been in failing health, and had lived in Omaha.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Harvey and Ora Simpson on Blair; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Julie Simpson of Lincoln, and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Martha and George Tibbetts.
