DONNA C. CEMER, 78

Donna C. Cemer, 78, of Blair, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Donna C. Hisel was born July 23, 1930, in Culbertson to Herbert and Ethel (Hiatt) Hisel. She grew up at Culbertson, and attended Culbertson High School, where she was drum majorette for the high school band.

On June 28, 1946, she married Sam Cemer Jr. at Olathe, Kan. The couple lived at Trenton, Wichita, Kan., and Lincoln before moving to Blair in 1954.

Mrs. Cemer was employed by Western Electric in Omaha for 22 years, retiring in 1981.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Francis and Dawana Cemer of Abilene, Kan., Harold Dean Cemer, and Billy J. and Prudy Cemer, all of Blair; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Herbert Hisel of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother-in-law, William Cemer of Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Delores Rowe of Blair and Marjorie Makings of North Platte; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, in 2003; a brother, Floyd Hisel; three sisters, Peggy Rein, Cleo Lutz and LaVonne Waterman; grandson, Tyler Cemer; sister-in-law, Lois Wilkins; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cemer.

Memorials are suggested to Crowell Memorial Home and to the DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge.

VISITATION Mon. 3-8 pm with family present 6-8 pm. Burial Blair Cemetery, Blair. Memorials to Crowell Memorial Home, Blair or DeSoto Wildlife Preserve.
