Emma Marie (Stork) Smith

The many friends of Mrs. F. W. Smith were grieved to hear of her death last Sunday, Jan. 31st. She had not been well for several months but her condition became serious about a month ago. Emma Marie Stork was born in Washington county near Arlington, Oct. 10, 1881. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Stork. She was united in marriage Sept. 27, 1917 to F. W. Smith and has made her home in Arlington ever since. Mr. Smith passed away Oct. 28, 1931, and since his death Mrs. Smith has failed rapidly. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 12:15 at the house and at one o’clock at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, of which she was a faithful and devoted member. Her pastor, Rev. G. W. Wolters had charge of the services. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fred Stork of Arlington, a brother, E. W. C. Stork, also of Arlington, and two brothers, William and Louis Stork of Wisner. There is also a large circle of friends and neighbors who will greatly miss her kind and pleasing personality.
