Services were Saturday, February 15 at Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church, South Branch for Edith Evelyn Christo, 78 of Albion who died February 12, 1992 at Boone County Community Hospital. Rev. Larry Spomer officiated with burial in the parish cemetery.

Edith Christo was born December 29, 1913 in the Plum Creek area to Henry and Evaline Isle Daigh. She was baptized in the Methodist Church and later confirmed in the Lutheran Church.

She attended District 9 School and graduated in 1922 from Albion High School. She was a member of Friendly Neighbors Extension Club.

She married George Christo, Sr., December 12, 1935 at Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her husband; a son, George Jr. of Albion; daughters, Deloris (Mrs. Dale) Matson of Blair and Evelyn (Mrs. Mike) Briest of Brandon, South Dakota; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Schroeder of Panama, Nebraska and Dorothy (Mrs. David) Foster of Valley; and brothers, Robert Daigh of Logan, Iowa and Wesley Daigh of Rochester, New York.
