Funeral Services Saturday For Chris Christoffersen

Chris Christoffersen of 1331 Colfax St. died Wednesday afternoon at Memorial Community Hospital at Blair. He was born near Herman, Nebr., March 16th, 1890 and lived in the Hill Creek vicinity. He was baptized and confirmed as a Lutheran. He was married to Hilma Follen at Blair, March 10, 1915.

He had been a lifetime resident of Washington County. He farmed until 1945. He worked at various jobs until his retirement about 10 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Hilma; by a son, Vernon Christoffersen of Blair, and a daughter, Mrs. Marian (Gladys) Loftis of Craig.

There are six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Two brothers, Fred Christoffersen of Ft. Calhoun and Morse Christoffersen of Powell, Wyoming and one sister, Mrs. George (Anna) Follen of Montebello, California, also survive.

Preceding him in death was a brother Otto Christoffersen, and a sister, Mrs. Emanuel (Hannah) Andreasen.

Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church at Blair Saturday. The Rev. Robert Albers officiated.

Interment was made at the Blair Cemetery. The pallbearers were Kenneth Andreasen, Stanley Andreasen of Fremont, Larry Dennis, Harry Navrude of Blair, Robert Gatzemeyer and Carl Marhenke of Tekamah.
