Fred Christoffersen, 92

Funeral services for Fred Christoffersen, age 92, were held Monday, June 5, at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with burial in the Orum Cemetery.

Fred died at the Ville De Sante Home in Omaha on Friday, June 2, 1989.

He was born on November 27, 1896, at Herman, Nebraska to Hans and Mary Sorensen Christoffersen. He attended the Brodersen School and in 1913 moved to Wyoming. Fred entered World War I in 1918 and served his country until 1919.

He lived in Wyoming upon his return from the service until moving to Herman and farming in the area for many years. Antiques were his hobby. In 1950, he moved to Ft. Calhoun and lived there until 1977, at which time he moved to Ville De Sante where he resided until his death.

Fred is survived by nieces and nephews, Vernon Christoffersen, Blair; Kenneth and Stanley Andreasen, Fremont; Gladys Loftis, Tekamah; Clarence Folen, California; and J. W. Christoffersen, Robert Christoffersen, Betty Sapp, and Ruth Bell, all of Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Anna Follen and Hanna Andreasen; and three brothers, Chris, Marse and Otto.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
