Funeral services were Monday, September 17 at First United Methodist Church in Wayne for Hattie Hall, 89, who died September 14, 1990 at Wayne, Nebraska. Rev. Keith Johnson officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Wayne.

Harriet Belva Hall, the daughter of James P. and Nona Hart Stricklett was born November 10, 1900 at Foster, Nebraska. She moved with her parents to homestead in Wyoming and returned to Kennard, Nebraska where she graduated from high school.

She worked as a telephone operator prior to her marriage to Wilbur D. Hall on August 16, 1922 in Omaha. They moved to Wayne where they operated the Wayne Greenhouse with his parents and later with their son, Kent.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, The Guilders, Wayne Hospital Auxiliary, Acme Club and was a 65 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Her husband, Wilbur, preceded her in death in 1950. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kent in 1988; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Russ and Nona Johnson of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter-in-law, Lois Hall of Wayne; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Geneva Leptien of Blair.

Coleen Jeffries was organist. Gwen Jensen provided the vocal music.

The Guilders were honorary pallbearers.

Pallbearers were Scott Hall, David Johnson, Dean Lallman, Carl Mackie, Steve Hall, Michael Cowley, Tom L. Tucker, Mark Wiltse, John Kaufhold, Louis Nielsen and Sheldon Warrick.

McBride Wiltse Mortuary was in charge of arrangements for the services.
