Merle F. Hall, 63, of rural Fremont died Saturday, August 2, 1986 at his home. There will be no funeral service, memorials may be given to the Arlington V.F.W. Club. He was buried at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Hall was born October 13, 1922, the son of Lawrence and Maude Hall of Arlington.

He grew up in the Arlington area and graduated from Arlington High School in 1940. He married Ione F. Fulton on January 19, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hall served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific.

Hall was a member of the First Congregational Church, U.C.C. at Fremont and of the V.F.W. Post 8332 at Arlington.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Kandy) Adelgren and Lori Moseman, both of Fremont; sisters, Mrs. Leo (Eleanor) Rosenkilde and Mrs. Jerry (Patricia) Fagerquist, both of Arlington, and Mrs. Joe (Marilyn) Wilkins of Austin, Minnesota; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
