LUCIEN HALLER DIES IN SOUTHLAND

Lucien Haller, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haller, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Shreveport, Louisiana on Monday, November 30.

Deceased was born in Blair in 1884, and was reared and educated here. In 1915 he married Miss Eleanor Nelsen, and to them two children were born: Franklin and Eleanor, both living, and with their mother are grief-stricken over the sudden death of the husband and father.

The body was brought to Blair for interment, and is now at the Campbell mortuary. The funeral services will be held at the Episcopal church on Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.

Besides the immediate family, he leaves a brother, Clarkson of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Mariam Reynolds of Santa Monica, California, and Mrs. Helen Tracy of San Diego, California.

Deceased left Blair in 1928, going to San Antone, Texas where he entered business, and about a year ago moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where he was in the insurance business and doing well. He was a man of energy and ability, and his loss is a tragedy to his family.

LUCIEN C. HALLER DIES IN LOUISIANA; BLAIR NATIVE AND FORMER RESIDENT, AGED 52

VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK

Victim of a sudden heart attack, Lucien C. Haller, aged 52, died Monday in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he had resided for the past year. Word of his death was received in Blair that day by his brother, Clarkson.

Lucien Haller was born in Blair in February, 1884, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Haller. He attended the city schools and later was graduated from Racine college at Racine, Wisconsin.

In 1918 he was married to Miss Eleanor Nelson south of Blair and they moved to San Antonio, Texas. Before leaving Blair, Mr. Haller had been in the automobile business.

Surviving Mr. Haller are his wife, a son, Franklin, and a daughter, Eleanor, a brother, Clarkson of Blair, and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Tracy of San Diego, California, and Mrs. Miriam Reynolds of Santa Monica, California.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Friday at 2 p.m. Bishop Shayler of Nebraska Episcopal diocese officiating. Interment will be in Blair Cemetery. Mrs. Haller and children have arrived from Shreveport. Mrs. Haller and Franklin accompanying the body and Miss Eleanor coming into Omaha today.
